Most medical storage companies that are around today store all of our personal information in one central location. This places our livelihoods on a silver platter for hackers, stalkers, and the government.
The technology we use at SmartPatient encrypts and decentralizes our files, using IPFS. Your information turns into an unrecognizable code and is broken up into pieces and stored in multiple locations. By doing this, we can ensure that your medical information and files will be safer and more secure than ever before.
SmartPatient believes privacy is the most important aspect of your medical life. By using this technology, we will give you the protection you never had before.
IPFS
InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) stores information by its content rather than its location. What this means is, instead of being identified by a URL or a file address, the information within your files will be translated into a cryptographic hash, or a series of letters and numbers, which becomes its new identity.
